Let’s give a warm welcome to Baetje Farms LLC. This French-inspired artisan goat cheese dairy and creamery is located in Bloomsdale, Missouri. Steve and Veronica Baetje produce “Pure Artisan Farmstead” goat cheeses on their historic farm that dates back to the late 1700s. “Farmstead” signifies cheese made solely with milk from the cheese maker’s own animals. “Artisan” is a skilled manual worker or craftsman. Baetje Farms produces their cheeses in an old world, European style. To date, this dairy has received more than 60 awards and currently sells their products across the United States. Circle B Ranch is a Berkshire/Kurabota hog farm located in the heart of the Ozarks, just outside Springfield, Missouri. The owners, John and Marina Backes, started raising their heritage Berkshire hogs for restaurant and consumer consumption on their 200-acre farm in 2009. Now the couple sell meat cuts off the farm and online, as well as through plain and spicy pork sticks. Circle B Ranch also produces small-batch chutneys and sauces, which harken back to a time when Marina owned and operated an upscale catering company in New Jersey. Daniel’s Bar-B-Q Sauces L.L.C. produces barbecue sauces and meat rubs packed with Kansas City flavor. The company has been making their award-winning sauces and rubs for nearly a century.
